Agatized Fossil Coral is the official Florida state stone in 1976. Agatized Coral is actually a fossil that can be found in three main locations in Florida: Tampa Bay, the Econfina River, and the Withlacoochee / Suwannee river beds. Although most have been found in the Tampa Bay area, near the Ballast Point, more have been found, recently, in North Florida on the Withlacoochee River, in Madison County, Florida. It is the only gemstone found in the state.
* Note: All bronze focal components are anti-tarnish protected to maintain the shine. Other bronze components can be shined with a special sponge and care taking recommendations provided.
